Candle will be placed before Icon of Holy Hierarch Luke of Crimea (+1961) – Icon with a piece of his relic.
St. Luke was a physician, married with five children when the Russian Revolution occurred, but was soon widowed during proceeding civil war. In 1921 he became a bishop and served in various cities. But he suffered greatly, received three long separate prison terms during which he was greatly tortured for his faith. After WWII, he served both as bishop and a very famous eye surgeon, helping countless people. By his intercessions, many receive miraculous healings to this day.
